ELITE PLAYER COLLEGE ID CAMP
This two-day Elite Player College ID Camp is ideal for players interested in competing at the collegiate level. Coaches from the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) will conduct sessions similar to those who currently compete for the Roadrunners. Each session has a theme to improve and test each player’s technical, tactical and physical abilities. In addition, specialized sessions for goalkeepers will also be provided throughout the weekend. The two-day schedule is fantastic for players traveling from out-of-town due to the convenient and effective training schedule. An optional tour of campus can be provided on request.
All sessions begin with a technical component to challenge and improve each individual’s fundamental ability to master the ball. From there, Session I focuses on small sided games where players are expected to execute in tight spaces (3v3 & 4v4 games). Session II expands the space to where players compete in a 6v6, 7v7 or 8v8 format. Finally, Session III brings players to 11v11 full field and allows them to apply what they’ve learned in the smaller group setting from the previous two sessions.
By having players compete in a variety of small sided and expanded games, the UTSA staff will be able evaluate players in different competitive settings.
